Evaluation and Feedback from First Edit

Upon completion of my first assembly edit I arranged a viewing with a variety of audiences. The first viewing was in a communications meeting with my client. After viewing the edit the client members were very pleased with the video so far, we then went on to discuss the changes which needed to be done to complete the video. This included font changes (mainly in terms of size), and visual changes over the poem at the end of the video; we felt the original visuals didn’t suit the poem so decided to use images of roads/paths. As well as this the video was further viewed by the volunteers (who provided us with transcripts of their experiences) and managers at NRP both of these viewings resulted in very positive comments with everyone praising the video and looking forward to the final product. In the viewing with the managers there was discussion on where the video would be exhibited such as big events (held by Norfolk Recovery Partnership). The final viewing of the video was with my peers; here I was able to get feedback in terms of the technical aspect of the video. The comments were mainly about tightening the cuts and ensuring the video was smooth in terms of visuals and audio.

Overall I had very positive feedback and am pleased with how the video is looking so far, I feel that with a couple more editing sessions the video will be completed to a professional standard and will be ideal for what the client requested.
