The impact of the project

The client found this project very useful as they received a video which they deemed professional and are now also asking for more work. In terms of the impact the project had on myself, I found this unit to be very useful as it allowed me to try something new and become extremely independent with my work. As well as this it helped me to develop my confidence and provided me with the opportunity to start working on the production company which I am currently in the process of developing.

Technical qualities

I am very happy with the technical qualities I used in this video. I learnt some new editing techniques such as motion tracking/masking which I used to make a single subject in the shot black and white. Also I am happy with the camera techniques I have used as there are no major errors with camera that could have ruined video like there were in previous projects such as the focus error we had in the short drama

Aesthetic qualities/visual style/how does it look?

As well as this I am very happy with the overall look of the video; I feel it suits the themes and style of the client and suits the content being conveyed in the video. I have utilised the exact colour used. Also I feel it attracts attention through metaphorical and engaging scenes such as the life in addiction scenes. Also I think it is pleasant to listen to with slow and soothing background music and dialogue i.e. the poem.

Did it achieve your aim?

It certainly achieved my aim and so far seems to be a good step in the direction of a production company. I am very happy with the way in which I conducted the project. I felt organised and professional throughout and am very pleased at the response from my client. My client stated they felt it was very professional and it exceed the expectations they originally had. I have thoroughly enjoyed this unit and feel it has given me an insight to life in the film and media industry.

Overall I am very happy with the work I have produced in this unit, I feel I have worked at a professional standard and produced a high quality video which shall be used by my client. However I do feel I should have been more up to date with my blog however this was difficult to do as I had a big period in which I spent most of my time filming and editing for the client.
