My Understanding of the Project

The purpose of this task is for ourselves to develop and put into practice our management skills. We are ultimately managing a full project using real life clients in response to a brief. We must demonstrate our organisational skills through the weekly updates of our blogs which I feel is an interesting way of admitting our work and makes the project feel more personal and realistic. As well as this I feel it will provide us with invaluable skills and a taster into working in the real world.

We must ensure we stay on top of our work and update our blogs weekly; I feel this is better as it provides us with insight to a realistic work situation. Also it allows our clients to keep updated with the project so they can have further input into the video. I like the idea of presenting our work in a blog as it further allows us to be more creative and demonstrate our management skills which the client can also see.

Furthermore we must use the skills and knowledge we have developed over the course to independently produce the productions which I particularly look forward to as I can demonstrate the skills and knowledge I have learnt.

Currently I have two ideas one of which is a social action and community media production about awareness of drug and alcohol abuse. This would be my first option as I feel it is an important issue that people need to be more aware of.

However depending on the response of the client I do have another idea which would be a corporate and promotional programme production for an individual. For this client I would be promoting them as a freelance worker/independent business.
